Versions of the IELTS Test for IELTS Preparation

There are three versions of the IELTS test essential for IELTS preparation:

  1. Academic

  2. General Training

The Academic and General Training tests consist of four sections: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. While the Listening and Speaking sections are the same for all candidates, the Reading and Writing sections differ. The Academic Reading and Writing sections are more abstract than the General Training version. The IELTS Life Skills test includes only the Listening and Speaking sections and is shorter in duration.
